Hey there! Can I just say how much I’ve always been into the idea of creating my own clothes and sewing unique pieces? It all started when I was a child watching my mom create these beautiful stuffed dolls and other items with her sewing machine. I was absolutely amazed by it! Then, in high school, I took sewing classes and that’s when I truly fell in love with the whole process of bringing my ideas to life through fabric and thread.
After I graduated, I was determined to continue honing my skills and pursuing my passion for fashion design. So, I saved up for months to buy my first sewing machine and let me tell you, it was a complete game-changer for me! Having my own machine at home allowed me to practice and experiment with different techniques and styles whenever I wanted.
As a self-taught fashion designer, I’ve learned so much through trial and error, watching tutorials online, and studying the work of other designers. Each new project brings new challenges and opportunities for growth, and I’m always pushing myself to improve and refine my skills. Even though it’s not always easy being a self-taught designer, I absolutely love the freedom and creativity that comes with creating my own designs. I can experiment with different styles, fabrics, and techniques without any rules or limitations.
Even though I still have so much to learn, I’m super excited to continue my journey as a self-taught fashion designer. With each new project, I’m one step closer to achieving my dream of creating a unique and successful fashion brand!
That’s why I’m so thrilled to share my journey with all of you through my blog. I want to showcase my sewing practices and share the projects that I’m working on. My hope is to inspire others who may be interested in fashion design to pursue their dreams and follow their passions. I know firsthand how daunting it can be to start from scratch and teach yourself a new skill, but I truly believe that anyone can do it with enough dedication and hard work.
So, through my blog, I’m also going to share tips and tricks that I’ve learned along the way, as well as resources that have helped me to improve my skills. Whether you’re just starting out or have been sewing for years, there’s always something new to learn and discover in the world of fashion design.
